Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
01Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Saaskart (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website, applications, and services (the “Platform”). It applies to buyers, vendors, reviewers, and visitors.
We act as the “controller” of the personal information we process about you. Where we process information on behalf of a vendor (for example, a lead you submit to them), that vendor is a separate controller responsible for its own use of your data.
02Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account data — name, email, password, job title, company, and profile details.
- Content — reviews, ratings, questions, answers, discussions, and any messages you send.
- Vendor data — listing details, billing contacts, and team-member information.
- Lead & enquiry data — the information you include when you contact a vendor or our team.
- Payment data — processed by our payment partners; we do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages viewed, listings clicked, products saved, searches run, and interaction events.
- Device & technical data — IP address, browser type, operating system, and approximate location.
- Cookies & similar technologies — as described in our Cookie Policy.
Information from third parties
We may receive data from authentication providers (if you sign in with a third party), enrichment providers for company information, and analytics services.
03How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, maintain, personalize, and improve the Platform.
- Create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- Deliver lead notifications, product updates, and transactional emails you request.
- Process payments and manage vendor subscriptions through Stripe and Razorpay.
- Power search, recommendations, and AI-assisted matching.
- Analyze usage to improve features, performance, and content.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
04Legal bases for processing
Where required by law (for example, under the GDPR), we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract
- To provide the services you request and operate your account.
- Legitimate interests
- To improve and secure the Platform, prevent fraud, and grow our business in ways that do not override your rights.
- Consent
- For optional analytics/marketing cookies and certain communications; you can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation
- To comply with applicable laws, tax, and accounting requirements.
07Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Published reviews may be retained in anonymized form to preserve the integrity of aggregate ratings.
08How we protect your information
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed password storage, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Learn more about our practices on the Trust & Security page, including how to report a vulnerability.
09Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You may also have the right to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, manage your details in your account settings or email privacy@saaskart.co. We verify requests and respond within the timeframe required by law (typically 30 days). For an overview of the controls available, see Your Privacy Choices.
10International data transfers
We operate globally and may transfer, store, and process your information in countries other than your own, including where our cloud infrastructure and service providers are located. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
11Children's privacy
The Platform is not directed to individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify registered users by email or an in-product notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
